In celebration of the Guardian Hero reaching 100 chapters- let's have a few designs people have mentioned in the comments!

Tama-Tori wasn't really requested, but I had an idea for peacock Izuku (Outside his The Guardian persona) and wanted to draw him. Love tapping into the peacocks greens. Also, nice little peek at Izuku's go-to senti-monster.

Tora-Terror, Jirou with the tiger makes sense, their vibes match up really well. I thought giving her cat/tiger ear gamer headphones would be funny, so I did that. She also has knucklebusters on her gloves, so when she punches you into the sun she can break all the bones in your face while at it.

Shout out to my friend for Atomouse for Mouse Hagakure. She pointed out that atoms are tiny and invisible to the naked eye, but still there, so it fit both her powers. I thought it would be funny to just draw the suit, but I couldn't forsake the mouse hair buns, so I just made that layer transparent. This was also my first time seeing her actual design and- man, she's a bit of a mess, I love her.

Oisbijou! My boy! His name came from bashing together the french words for Bird (Oiseau) and Jewel (Bijou). I waned to just cover him with sparkly shit, so his shout is based on ice dancers, and has both rhinestones and glitter!

Haymaker and Sleipnir! If Uraraka is a workhorse, Iida is one of those horse rich fuckers own. Not to say he can't fight, just that he's fancier about it. You may recognize Haymaker from this set of sketches. Sleipnir was another recommended name, albeit for a different character. It felt like it fit with his mobility theme, especially for this.

And finally- uh I really like Amajiki and hado. At least in everything episode I've seen them in so far. I thought having a very nervous butterfly being partnered with a very excitable dragon would be funny. I don't think you can super tell it's Amajiki, but I blame that on his face being covered. he actually has his face paint- metal- whatever the thing on his face is! And his hair is the exact same.

I couldn't resist turing Hado's hair spirals into horns, and then regretted that choice when it took me like 4 times to get the shape I wanted. Her undersuit looks similar to her hero one, just in the dragons colors. And her jacket has a scale and wing motif on it, just with the latter being on the back.

Have a villain Peacock Aoyama. As a treat. His name is Diamant Bleu.

Oh and uh- bonus bonus- have some villain butterfly Inko. As a treat. A gift if you will...

Karaoke: Heroes

what happens when you go out to a karaoke bar with your favorite heros? hero characters edition ▷ villain version Featuring: Denki Kaminari, Eijiro Kirishima, Kyoka Jiro, Mina Ashido, Shoto Todoroki, Katsuki Bakugo, Mirio Togata, Tamaki Amajiki, Minoru Minetta, Shouta Aizawa, & Hizashi Yamada (Present Mic)

With a group of former UA students all off on the same night, everyone decides to go out. Conveniently, after an incident a few days ago, the karaoke bar is back up and running tonight!

Denki Kaminari ♫ it was like lightning, everybody was frightening, and the music was soothing, and they all started grooving ♫

Denki fucking goes for it. He would be the most fun to do karaoke with. He's running all over the place, jumping on tables, and climbing on top of the bar. During the guitar solo, he just slid on his knees across the stage. When you're up to sing, he's just as excited. Denki would also be great to do duets with.

If he has a crush on you, he dedicates a song to you and makes up the words to make it fit.

Eijiro Kirishima ♫ it's more than a feeling (more than a feeeeeling) ♫

Kiri is a little shy at first but he gets used to it quickly. Especially once he sees you and the rest of his friends cheering him on, he opens up and has a lot of fun with it! He only picks the manliest of manly songs.

Kyoka Jiro ♫ maaahhaaaaahhhaaaahhhaaaaps wait, they don't love you like I love you ♫

Jiro doesn't want to sing at first but eventually gives in to peer pressure. She has an amazing voice and you all ask her to sing more. 

Songs: Fade into You by Mazzy Star, Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Jolene by Dolly Parton

Mina Ashido ♫ oh mother dear we're not the fortunate ones and girls they wanna have fu-hun ♫

After a few too many electric blue colored drinks, Mina is wasted. But she's sooo into it! Even if she doesn't know all the lyrics. She's so excited that you can't help but cheer her on though. As soon as she sees you rooting for her, she gets excited and spills her unsettlingly colorful drink again.

Later, she pulls you onstage with her to sing Wanna Be by Spice Girls. Hope you know that one! 

Songs: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper and Dancing Queen by Abba. 

Shoto Todoroki ♫ Dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan ♫

Shoto has never been to karaoke before.

He walks onto the stage calmly, checking the microphone with a confused look on his face. An anime opening song comes on the speakers. Shoto stands perfectly still but surprises everyone by having a decent voice. After that, he realizes he enjoys it so he sings a few more.

Songs: nothing but Creepy Nuts

Katsuki Bakugo ♫ do you want to eat? do you want to sleep? do you want to drown? just settle down, settle down, settle down ♫

Says he doesn't want to be there but still stops by briefly, sings one song (this took a lot of convincing,) then leaves saying he has to wake up early. He picks his own song, reluctantly, after his friends keep putting in TNT by AC/DC.

He's a little awkward about getting into it, but after he realizes its mostly his friends in the bar anyways he lets loose a little (well, as much as pro hero Dynamite would ever let loose in a public space.) Obligatory box checked so now his friends can't complain that he didn't participate this time. Maybe next time you can get him to stick around for longer.

Song: Anything Anything by Dramarama

Mirio Togata ♫ What would you think if I sang out of tune, would you stand up and walk out on me? ♫

Goes onstage during any slow moments to rev everyone up. He's been more than happy to sing with people who are nervous and is having fun if you're having fun.

Tamaki Amajiki ♫ .........

Amajiki just left. He went home without telling anyone. 

His song gets called: Uncomfortable by Wallows. You didn't even know they had that song.

Minoru Mineta ♫ I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now ♫

Serenades every girl in the room. When one isn't into it, he jumps to the next mid-verse. Eventually someone slips the song Creep by Radiohead in under his name and he takes the hint.

Songs: Wonderwall by Oasis and Your Body is a Wonderland by John Mayer

Just as the new pro-heroes are thinking about calling it a night, two of their old teachers walk in.

Shouta Aizawa

Aizawa looks over it the moment he walks in the room. Finding a cozy booth in the corner, he promptly falls asleep. It doesn't last long.

Present Mic ♫ daaaaayyyyyyyyyyy-o !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ♫

Present Mic takes the stage, and clears his voice. The song begins and he blows out the speaker system within the first line.

Karaoke night is officially over.

My Hero Academia Chapter 425 Spoiler Talk

I'm enjoying writing about this stuff again, though I've got a headache going on, so I'll do the best I can for now. I might add in stuff later:

I'm very happy to see our Big 3 graduate finally! I was kinda worried Mirio wouldn't even graduate for a second, but I'm happy to see that he did and he gave a valedictorian-esque speech to everyone talking about rebuilding society so everyone can have a bright future like Sir Nighteye wanted. Ending his speech with a joke is such a Mirio Togata thing 😂. I'm going to miss that guy so much 🥹

Why are Deku and some other students just lying on the ground with their feet up like that btw? Did they run out of chairs or something? It's a weird, quirky little thing that's just there, I guess.

The narration mentions that it's June in the MHA universe now (Happy Pride, btw 🏳️‍🌈). So, if the War took place around April or May, then it's been at least 1 month since we last saw the kids at the hospital.

Our class 1-A is now officially Class 2-A! They're finally second years as they should have been. Everyone including Aizawa is alive, though saying they're well is debatable. Everyone is clearly still injured in some way, shape, or form. Most have several bandages and even Jiro looks like she has a prosthetic for her missing left earphone jack.

Quick note: I notice that Bakugo is actually wearing a tie with his uniform now. It's still not buttoned up, but you can tell that he's definitely softened a bit since the war. EDIT: Looking at it again, it might not be buttoned up because he has a cast holding his right arm, but it’s hard to tell from the scans.

Aoyama not wanting to return to UA is sad, but it makes sense. I'd argue that he earned his place there regardless of AFO's influence, but I can understand that he doesn't feel that way and wants to redeem himself and become a hero in his own way without being forced to betray his friends and teachers.

Replacing Aoyama will be Hitoshi Shinso! I think most of us predicted that Shinso would be joining Class 2-A, but I'm very happy to see that confirmed. It's going to be a bit of a weird start for him, but I think he'll get used to his new classmates quickly.

Another quick note: The second-year cloud girl, Fuwa Mitawa, is seen quite a bit in this chapter and her return is something Horikoshi promised many volumes ago, so I'm glad to see him keep that promise.

Those two first panels of Shouto make me so sad, y'all 😭... His hair is so messy and you can see bags under his eyes. It's hard to tell because of the leaks, but I don't know if there's even light left in his eyes. He looks so exhausted. What happened to Dabi, Endeavor, and the rest of his family? I have no doubt that he's been agonizing over them for god knows how long. I hate seeing him like this, honestly. He's my favorite character and deserves all the good in the world, especially after the harsh life he's been put through. I want to give Shouto all the hugs in the world 🩵.

I don't think Deku smiled at all this whole chapter btw. He tries to talk to Ochako at one point, but she interrupts him with a comment about his new haircut. He just looks sad this whole chapter. I bet he's still grieving and processing what happened. I need Izuku to open up to someone because he can't just bottle this up.

Then we have this mysterious man walking around a desolate town. We have absolutely no idea who this is, but apparently it isn't someone we know of. I want to say it's a grown-up Tenko Shimura somehow, but even that might be too farfetched.

Finally, there's Shouto and the Todorokis. Shouto reassures Deku that he's ok, but I bet my gatcha game currency that he's putting on a brave face because that final beautiful panel of him does not scream "I'm ok!" to me. If anything, I'm amazed Shouto doesn't look like he got any other permanent scars on his face at least.

It looks like Shouto is going to see his family at the hospital. Specifically Endeavor and what might be Dabi who's being kept alive in a big machine. It's hard to tell because the scans are so unclear, but I'm 90% sure that's Dabi in there. It's a miracle that man is alive given he was just a skeleton last we saw him. I'm 99% sure we're going to get a Hellish Todoroki Family Part 3 or something next chapter.

But, we won't see that until 3 weeks from now because we're officially on a 2-week break. There isn't a given reason why like Jujustu Kaisen got (Gege Akutami is sick, so he's taking 2-week break too), so I really hope Horikoshi is ok. It's either he's sick too or he needs time to think of the final chapters of MHA. Or both, that too. Regardless, any breaks given to Kohei Horikoshi to give him time to rest is ok with me. Just sucks for us as fans. Leaving us on THAT kind of a cliffhanger is just mean 😭
